Piano Methodologist

We are looking for an experienced Piano Methodologist who is inspired by what they do and ready to drive a team working on the development of an Piano learning mobile app.

Your challenges:

  • Analyzing competitor training content: structure, sequence of courses and lessons within courses, lesson formats, their effectiveness, etc.

  • Conducting research in the field of learning to play the piano through mobile applications, online courses, etc., in order to apply best practices in the product

  • Creating a study program

  • Creating specific training content (training exercises, video tutorials, tests to determine the level of proficiency on the instrument) and presenting it to the team

  • Participating in the design and development of application functionality related to the training content

  • Participating in quality control of the educational content in the product


About you:

  • Masters in Music (Conservatory)

  • Experience teaching piano of 5+ years

  • Experience creating and working with music in .mxl, .musicxml, and .mid formats using software like Sibelius

  • Experience in training plan development and applying it in teaching practice

  • Deep knowledge of piano teaching techniques

  • English: Intermediate


Would be a plus:

  • Work experience at an IT company

  • Experience creating your own training course and promoting it

  • Experience writing your own music and/or covers, recording them, and publishing them on the web

  • Experience using apps and other digital resources to learn how to play the piano

  • Deep knowledge of music theory and history

  • Publicity on social media as a piano teacher

  • Managerial experience, ability to set tasks

  • Experience making piano training videos (tutorials)

  • Sound engineering skills
